Addis Ababa University reopens postgraduate applications

Masters programmes on both the regular and the extension schedule, and PhD programmes. Which departments are taking applicants is listed only on the portal, at admission.aau.edu.et/GraduatePrograms. The call itself names no department, no fee and no number of places.

The university published the application and registration steps as a PDF named AAU GAT Announcement Sep., 2026, attached to the same post. Follow that rather than the undergraduate route: the second-round undergraduate call of 10 September was a separate admission with its own test, which we covered in Addis Ababa University has reopened admission for two days.

The graduate admission test, which AAU calls the GAT, is sat on Meskerem 6, the day after applications close. The post gives no time and no campus for it. AAU's testing centre publishes its schedules on the Telegram channel t.me/aauGAT, which is where the undergraduate test's campus and time appeared, so that is the place to watch.
