Who this is for
It is only for students who registered to study at these schools in 2019 E.C., sat the entrance exam and were then put on the waiting list. The reference number is the one issued when the application was first submitted.
How the places are given out
The ministry says the open places are limited. Among the students on the waiting list, those who scored higher on the entrance exam will be given priority. Students who get a place will be sent to the schools that have seats free.
What the notice leaves open
- It does not print the address of the registration link. It only says to use the one you registered through.
- It does not say how many places are open, or which schools have them.
- It does not give a score that guarantees a place, or say when students will learn where they have been placed.
This year's applications were made on the ministry's Special Boarding Schools portal, at sbs.moe.gov.et/apply. The same portal has a status page, sbs.moe.gov.et/admissions/check-status, which asks for your reference number and first name.
